You can activate, deactivate or refresh your GoAnywhere licence with simple button clicks as long as your GoAnywhere instance can reach the internet using the instructions below.

If you are unable to reach the internet from your GoAnywhere server, follow the notes at the end of this document for manual activation.

For New Installations (ACTIVATION)

Use the following instructions to activate your license when INSTALLING GoAnywhere MFT for the first time:

1.  Install GoAnywhere MFT, at the end of the process, go the the admin console
2. You will be presented with a button saying 'Get licence'.
3. Press this button which will take you to the my.goanywhere.com portal.
4. Log in and select the appropriate inactive licence.
5. You will now be redirected back to the Goanywhere admin console screen and select a new username and password for the administrator account.

For Migrations (DEACTIVATION)

Use the following instructions to activate your license when MIGRATING GoAnywhere MFT from one server to another:

1.  Log onto GoAnywhere MFT as the Administrator.
2.  From the main menu bar, point to Help, and then click License.
3.  On the License page, click the Deactivate button. You will be redirected to the GoAnywhere Customer Portal.
4.  You will be asked to verify if you want to deactivate the current license. 
5.  Click the Continue button to deactivate the current license.
6. Follow the instructions above for new installations.

Other Occasions (REFRESH)

1.  Log onto GoAnywhere MFT as the Administrator.
2.  From the main menu bar, point to Help, and then click License.
3.  On the License page, click the REFRESH button.
4. This will apply any changes to your licence.

MANUAL ACTIVATION

At the Admin console login screen  click the 'click here' link as shown below.

A license key request is generated - copy this to clipboard and keep a copy in a text file (just in case you lose the text).

Now go to https://my.goanywhere.com and select the inactive license that you wish to use.  Click the activate button.

Paste the text that you already copied into the entry screen displayed and click activate.

You will be shown a response code, copy this to the clipboard or press download to receive this as a file.

Return to the admin console screen and paste the response.  Press Apply to activate the licence.

Your server is now licenced.
